This album is the celebration of great friendship and love for home.
Having met as teenagers, our musical relationship accelerated as Masters students at Trinity Laban. We cherich many great memories from that time, from performances on the bandstand to evenings with Oscar Peterson's Night Train and France's finest reds.
Home Sweet Home presents a modern interpretation of ragtime and boogie-woogie music with the addition of the drums. The idea was born dring one of Greg's breaks between cruise ship contracts, for which he was playing this music. The joy generated from playing Maple Leaf Rag together made us realise the creative potential of this ensemble. A subsequent performance of our new repertoire motivated us all the more to record this album.
We hope you enjoy these timeless melodies, toe-tapping rhythms, and sound that makes us smile and feel at home.
